As viewers move around the piece—from right, left, or center—they encounter shifting contrasts of shadow and reflection. The pleats catch and release light as the angle of view changes, creating a fluid, ever-changing surface. This dynamic quality positions the textile in a state of tension—between structure and spontaneity, control and organic movement.
My interest lies in how textile manipulation can extend beyond ornamentation, becoming both visually striking and functionally acoustic. Rather than functioning as a conventional textile, this work operates as a form that softens architecture space. In my color selection, I intentionally created a contrast between warm and cool tones, while always aiming to maintain a soft and calming overall surface. My palette is largely based on shades of green, brown, blue, white, and yellow—colors that, through my observations of nature, evoke a deep sense of inner peace.
From Right to Left brings together my explorations of material, form, and perception into a single textile surface that responds continuously to its environment. It reflects my ongoing interest in how textiles can shape interior spaces—not only as visual elements, but as carriers of mood, rhythm, and atmosphere. Through this piece, I invite the viewer into a quiet moment of observation—where light, texture, and form move together in conversation.
