Folding Shadows II
Origami-inspired fabric collection, polyster, 2024
My fabric sample has presented itself in two different forms. The first is like a paper model that can be folded. The second involves incorporating elastic to activate the structure, and by adding floats, some areas of the yarn create a pop-out effect. I've primarily used a TC machine and Jacquard machine to weave these samples, and the results are distinct-one focusing on precise, foldable forms and the other on dynamic, flexible structures.
